FAQ

Boiler & plumbing questions, answered.

Can't find what you need? Just call us — a Gas Safe engineer will pick up.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes — every Gas Tech Plumbers engineer is Gas Safe registered. By law, only Gas Safe registered engineers should work on your boiler or gas appliances. We're happy to show our ID card on every visit.

How quickly can you install a new boiler?

Book a fixed-price quote before 3pm and in most cases we can install the very next day. Most installs are complete in a single working day with minimal disruption.

Do you offer fixed prices?

Always. Every quote is a fixed price including VAT, parts, labour, system flush and old-boiler removal — there are no hidden extras.

What warranty do I get with a new boiler?

Warranties range from 5 years (Main) through 10 years (Baxi 800) up to 12 years on Worcester Bosch — provided we annually service the boiler, your warranty stays valid for the full period.

Do you offer a workmanship warranty?

Yes — every job we complete comes with a 12-month workmanship warranty as standard. If anything's not right with the work we've carried out, we'll come back and put it right at no extra cost.

Do you cover emergency call-outs out-of-hours?

Yes — we run a 24/7 emergency line for no-heat, leaks and burst-pipe emergencies across Lancashire.

Which areas do you cover?

Burnley, Padiham, Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Clitheroe, Accrington, Blackburn, Preston, Bury, Rochdale, Rawtenstall, Bacup, Todmorden and surrounding villages.

What if I smell gas?

Treat it as a real emergency. Turn off the gas at the meter, open windows, do not turn lights or appliances on or off, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately. Then call us once the property is safe.
