Underfloor Heating — FAQs

Common questions about underfloor heating.

Honest answers from our Gas Safe registered Lancashire engineers. Can't see your question? Get in touch.

Can underfloor heating work with my existing boiler?

+

Yes — wet UFH works with combi, system and regular boilers, and pairs especially well with modern condensing boilers and heat pumps. We design the manifold and zoning around your existing setup.

How much does underfloor heating cost to install?

+

A single room (e.g. a kitchen or bathroom) is typically £1,200–£2,500 fitted, depending on size, screed and controls. Whole-house UFH is best costed during a free site survey.

Is underfloor heating expensive to run?

+

No — UFH runs at lower flow temperatures than radiators (around 35–45°C), which means a condensing boiler stays in efficient condensing mode for longer, often using less energy than radiator heating for the same room temperature.
