For gas fire installation in BB6.
Great Harwood is a Hyndburn market town between Blackburn and Padiham, just 15 minutes from our Burnley base via the A680. It's one of our shortest runs — we usually treat Great Harwood jobs as same-day priority because of how close it is.
Modern gas fires are far more efficient than the old radiant fires and back-boiler units still found in many Lancashire terraces — glass-fronted models reach 80–90% efficiency compared with around 20–50% for a traditional open-fronted fire. The most important part of any install is the flue: every fire we fit is surveyed and smoke/spillage tested so fumes go up the chimney, not into your lounge.
Every gas fire installation job in Great Harwood is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer (No. 305612), priced upfront and backed by our 12-month workmanship warranty. Call 01282 914 044 or message us on WhatsApp.

New-build in Towngate with no chimney. Fitted a balanced-flue hole-in-the-wall gas fire through the external wall, with a neat terminal guard outside and a CO alarm in the lounge.
Customer in BB6 wanted a like-for-like inset living-flame fire. Swept-chimney certificate checked, new fire fitted, coals laid to the manufacturer pattern and flue spillage tested.

It depends on the fire, your chimney or flue and whether an old fire or back boiler needs removing. We do a free survey anywhere in BB6 and give you a fixed price before any work starts.
Yes — many older Great Harwood terraces still have a back boiler behind the gas fire. We remove it, fit a modern combi elsewhere and fit a new fire, or open up the fireplace if you prefer.
We test every chimney before connecting a fire. If it fails, options include sweeping, a flue liner, a balanced-flue fire through an outside wall or a flueless fire with the right ventilation.
We cover Great Harwood Same-day, ~15 minutes from Burnley from our Burnley base. Surveys are usually within a few days, and most fires are fitted in a single day.
Gazco, Flavel, Valor, Legend, Crystal, Kinder, Be Modern and most UK brands — or we can fit a fire you have already bought if it suits your chimney or flue.
